Just a day before her 29th birthday, Dallas Cowboy quarterback, Tony Romo, passed on another season with Jessica Simpson, dropping her only hours before her big birthday bash, causing the actress to cancel her Ken and Barbie themed blowout.
Reps for both have so far not made any statements regarding the split, however sources say the pair were heading in opposite directions. Spies say Simpson as ready to settle down and start a family, while Romo was still wild about his bachelor ways.
The New York Daily News reports that after Romo broke the news to a heartbroken Jessica, he went out on the town:
In fact, the night Romo was meant to be playing the perfect Ken, he was partying with a posse of guy friends at Hollywood hot spot MyHouse - and women were constantly stopping by his table. Says one clubgoer, "Tony was hanging out until 2 a.m. getting his flirt on. He was in great spirits and seemed very single."
On Saturday, the player was again caught chatting up a bevy of ladies, this time poolside at the Roosevelt Hotel, also in L.A.
Poor Jessica. She never seems to have much luck when it comes to love, but I think she'll be okay. On Saturday, she took to Twitter and said:
"Barbie party didn't happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling, 'I love getting older!"
While on Sunday, she added:
"Everyone needs to know that hope floats ... grab the strings and pull it back to you."
