Police in Sussex, England, say in light of new evidence they are taking another look at the 1969 death of Rolling Stones guitarist, Brian Jones.
Jones, a founding member of the Stones, was discovered dead at age 27 in his swimming pool.
At the time, the cause of death was classified as "death by misadventure," and drugs and alcohol were believed to have been involved, however, speculation has persisted that Jones' death was caused by foul play, yet it was never proven.
A Sussex Police spokesman told The Times of London:
"We can confirm that Sussex Police received papers from an investigative journalist in relation to the death of Brian Jones. These papers will be examined by Sussex Police, but it is too early to comment at this time as to what the outcome will be."
Scott Jones, the journalist who presented the documents to the police, told The Mail on Sunday:
"There is no time limit on the review. But after 40 years of mystery, anyone who values Brian's reputation will be happy to wait for the outcome."
The Times did not offer details about what the documents contain.

Freemasons wanted him dead to replace him with a tool, just like the original drummer of the Beatles was replaced with a tool and spy for Freemasons who ultimately murdered John Lennon because he was an anti-war activist with a very wide influential reach.
