On Thursday, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were on hand to open a new playground in LA.
In 2007, the pair - who have two children of their own, Harlow and Sparrow - created the Richie-Madden Foundation, which helps to raise money for children's charities, and in conjunction with Beyond Shelter, which tackles homelessness and poverty, together the organizations helped raise money to fund the new playground.
Richie and Madden cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony of the Richie-Madden Playground and also spent some time hanging out with the kids.
Later, Richie took to Twitter to thank those involved in the event:
"Thank you to everyone who participated in the campaign. We are giving these children a chance to have an imagination & be free."
