General Hospital fans rejoice! It looks like actress Vanessa Marcil will once again be returning to reprise her role as that of Brenda Barrett on the long running ABC daytime soap.
Earlier today, Brian Frons, president of daytime at Disney/ABC Television Group announced Marcil's return, which is scheduled for August 11.
This isn't the first time the actress has reprised her role after a long time absence. Marcil, who first came on the GH scene as Brenda in 1992, stayed until 1998. She then returned - albeit briefly - in 2000 and again from 2002 to 2003.
Marcil took home a Daytime Emmy Award in 2003 for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her work on General Hospital.
Marcil has also had TV gigs on Las Vegas, Lipstick Jungle and Beverly Hills 90210.
