Will Angelina Adopt Without Brad?

Could it be true?  Is Angelina Jolie really ready to add to her brood by adopting yet another child - this time from Syria?

Rumor has it that Jolie is planning to bring home another child, this time from the Middle Eastern country of Syria - or so says OK! Magazine, anyway.

OK! also claims that Jolie has began the adoption process without partner Brad Pitt - prompting of course, all kinds of rumors and speculation that Pitt isn't interested in parenting any more kids - at least not any that aren't his biological offspring, anyway.

If there's a nugget of truth to the story, it's that a spokesperson for the Immigration and Naturalization Service in Washington D.C. reportedly confirmed that "only (Angelina's) name was on the (adoption) papers" - but that was when she was married to Billy Bob Thornton and adopted Maddox.

Elton John Hopes to Adopt Ukrainian Toddler

Someone is going to have to tell Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Madonna to move over...

Elton John says he wants to adopt a Ukrainian boy he met while visiting an orphanage in the Eastern European country as part of his AIDS Foundation work.

John announced his adoption plans at a news conference, saying he decided to forgo his personal opposition to becoming a parent via adoption after meeting a 14-month-old Ukrainian tot named Lev:

"David and I have always talked about adoption, David always wanted to adopt a child and I always said 'no' because I am 62 and I think because of the traveling I do and the life I have, maybe it wouldn't be fair for the child. But having seen Lev today, I would love to adopt him. I don't know how we do that but he has stolen my heart. And he has stolen David's heart and it would be wonderful if we can have a home. I've changed my mind today."

The BBC said the John admitted that the recent death of his keyboardist, Guy Babylon, helped nudge him in the adoption direction:

"Last week I lost one of my best friends; my keyboard player died of a heart attack at 52. It broke my heart because he was such a genius and so young, and has two wonderful children."

John and partner, David Furnish, have not began any formal adoption proceedings, and the singer  acknowledged that hurdles may make adoption of a Ukrainian child impossible, citing the lack of a formal adoption protocol between England and the Ukraine as a serious potential problem: 

"I don't know what the procedure is to adopt a boy from the Ukraine. I don't think I can because England doesn't have a treaty with the Ukraine."

Katherine Heigl to Adopt Baby from Korea

Rumor has it that Katherine Heigl and her husband, Josh Kelley, have decided to adopt a girl from Korea.

Sources say the couple began the adoption process more than six months ago. 

According to insiders, the adoption of 10-month-old Nayleigh will be complete by the end of this week, when the couple plan to take her home. 

 Heigl recently hosted a baby shower party for pregnant Grey's Anatomy castmate, Ellen Pompeo.

If the adoption reports are true, now we know why Heigl quit smoking!
