According to the folks over at the New York Post, they say a source tells them that actress Gwyneth Paltrow is in talks with Atlantic Records to record a country album.
So far, her publicist as well as reps for Atlantic are keeping it under wraps, however the unnamed source was more than willing to give it up:
"Gwyneth's agents have been talking to a number of labels about landing her a substantial record deal. Those who have heard the music say it's country pop. Many labels would be reluctant to give a deal to a star whose first priority is film, but in recent weeks there have been discussions with Atlantic. Gwyneth is a very different name for Atlantic, and one who brings a lot of recognition."

The iconic white suit music legend John Lennon wore on the cover of the infamous Beatles album, Abbey Road, was sold on Saturday during the annual New Year's Day auction at the Braswell Gallery in Connecticut.
The winning bidder - at $46,000 - requested to remain anonymous.
The suit, which was made in Paris in 1969, was expected to bring in at least $115,000.
The famed album cover, which was shot by photographer Ian MacMillan on August 8, 1969, is one of the most memorable album covers in history, largely due to the fact that it was last album The Beatles recorded. The album was released in 1969 in both the UK and the United States.
The album cover is named after Abbey Road, a thoroughfare located in the borough of Camden and the city of Westminster in London, where the famed cover shot was taken.
If you've always wanted to see the crosswalk on Abbey Road in person, but just can't seem to afford the trip, you can visit abbeyroad.com, where live web-cams run 24/7.
