The Los Angeles County coroner's office says actress Brittany Murphy died from pneumonia, iron-deficiency anemia and multiple-drug intoxication.
Murphy, whose movie credits include Clueless, Girl Interrupted, 8 Mile and Sin City, died just before Christmas, on December 20.
She was 32.
Initial autopsy results were inconclusive. Authorities said they would wait for toxicology tests to be conducted before making a final determination as to the cause of death.
TMZ reports the coroner's office has declared the cause of her death categorized as "accidental."
TMZ reveals that in the report, which has just been released, that authorities noted "drug intake" on the line that asked, "how injury occurred."
A number of prescription medications were reportedly found by investigators on her nightstand. Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack, had stated in earlier reports that his wife was taking Vicoprofen and the antidepressant Fluoxetine (also known as Sarafem) for severe menstrual cramps, and that many of the other medications found were his due to a seizure he recently suffered.
Murphy's mother, Sharon Murphy, and her husband have previously denied press rumors that an eating disorder, mental illness or drug abuse played a role in the actress' death.
Instead, they said they were convinced she died of a congenital heart murmur.
